“The Chief: Armageddon is almost upon us.

Professor Plum: I got news for you - it's already here.

Mrs. Peacock: Oh go away.

The Chief: But your souls are in danger.

Mrs. Peacock: Our lives are in danger, you beatnik.”

Define Healing

One Definition of Healing:

Maybe you read my bio already that calls me a "healer". Maybe that's exciting to you and maybe that's what you're searching for. Or maybe that's very off-putting to you in the way that implies I think I have the ability to heal another. Let me explain my definition of healing. This is just one definition as I'm not sure that healing is a specimen that can be totally nailed down and splayed out for a definitive summary.

My view on healing is simple and involves just a few pieces:

  1. As a "healer", I don't heal anyone. The healing ability is inherent in all living beings. My role is to help facilitate that, but it's not coming from me.

  2. 1+1 = 3. That's the magic formula right there. There is some kinda magic that happens when you put two aligned individuals together with the same goal. When my client and I just click, the trust, the intuition, the honesty flows and through all of that creates a space for healing to happen.

  3. 1+1 = 9. With the right conditions, the juice is off the charts. The right combo of people, the right atmosphere, the right time, the right place, the right whatevers, we just have sessions and experiences that are blockbusters. Major breakthroughs, crystallized clarity, total release...

  4. Healing takes many forms. Some people connect to healing through herbs. Others through imaging. Some folks are out there doing healing work in the form of customer service, accounting, baking, dog walking. You know those folks who have found their purpose and they lift others up through their expression of that purpose. In my mind, that's healing.

So that's it. I'm not special for being a healer. We all have it. Or maybe we're all special for having that healing capacity. Yeah I like that better.

What were your marching orders growing up?

As a girl, I was always told to "be sweet", but what if I'd been told "be powerful"? As women we don't always have the most confident relationship with power and strength, and I'm trying to change that for myself and others.
